Therapeutic infiltration

Infiltrations are effective to relieve pain and promote healing. An infiltration consists of injecting cortisone into a joint, a synovial bursa or around a tendon. The ultrasound-guided injection allows the infiltration of the anti-inflammatory medication more accurately.

Process

1. Ultrasound examination of the area to be treated.
2. If treatment is required, the radiologist proceeds with an injection of contrast agent under ultrasound guidance.
